About The Athor
Abel M. Gebreyesus is a Healthcare Business Intelligence and Quality Improvement Consultant working in a Canadian healthcare system for the last 16 years. Currently, Abel is working in a primary care sector as a Knowledge Management & Quality Improvement Lead; as well as in a Mental Health & Addiction sector as Data and Quality Improvement Consultant. Abel holds Masters of Health Informatics (MHI) from Dalhousie University and later became a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CLSSGB) professional. Before coming to Canada, Abel was working in Eritrea as a journalist for ten years in a government owned newspaper as well as in private newspapers. Parallel to that, he also worked in various health related projects and UN hired third-party agencies & NGOs for five years.
